Sound that says „guest at the door".
A wireless indoor chime for Perrugi Palm. When a guest taps the doorbell on Palm — Vocal plays a sound inside the home and the app simultaneously receives a push notification. Two layers, one intent: you will not miss a visitor, whether you are in the kitchen or on the other side of the world.
Vocal is currently in testing. The first units will ship in the second half of 2026.
How it works.
Vocal is a small piece of hardware with one role: it translates an electronic event into something you hear in the home. No screen, no interface, no app to set up. You pair it once with Perrugi Palm and leave it on a shelf or on the wall.
1. Guest taps Palm
The doorbell button on Perrugi Palm is embedded in the housing. A touch sends an event into the home over an encrypted Bluetooth 5.0 channel.
2. Vocal rings
Within less than 200 ms Vocal receives the signal and plays the chosen tone — pick a classic chime, a gong, a xylophone or upload your own 12-second file.
3. App sends push
In parallel with the sound the Perrugi app sends a push notification with a thumbnail from the camera (if you have Perrugi Eye). Two alert layers: for people at home and for you when you are out.
4. History in the app
Every ring is logged in the app — time, duration, answered or not. You can glance back at who rang during the day.
Tones. Not a buzzer. Sound.
Doorbells in older homes had character. The ones from plastic housings do not. For Vocal we recorded a palette of tones that sit well in modern interiors — and we let you upload your own.

- Cricket — a very quiet night alert, easy to miss when asleep, impossible to ignore when not

Acoustic wood and paper membrane.
Vocal's housing is made of ash wood — the same species used by studio speaker makers. Wood amplifies sound naturally, with no plastic resonance. The membrane is paper, classic, hand-calibrated for our speaker.

Pair it in thirty seconds.
No app, no account, no Wi-Fi. Touch Palm and Vocal at the same time — LEDs blink, paired. The whole setup is physical, local, with no cloud data exchange. If you buy a second Vocal, you pair it with the same gesture and both will ring at once.
